Als Nebenprojekt zu Grauzone, sollte der "Kurzaufenthalt" für Claudine Chirac und Stephan Eicher, der bei der ersten LP die Songs "Is this love?" und "Tanger" beisteuert ein Neuanfang werden. Nach der ersten LP ist Stephan nicht mehr dabei und Claudine Chirac startet ebenfalls erste Gehversuche auf Solopfaden und veröffentlicht eine Single (Nautilus), deren Tiltelsong auch auf dem zweiten Swiss-Wave-Sampler zu finden ist. Starter machen als Duo weiter und veröffentlichen bis Ende der 80er weitere Platten auf verschiedenen Labeln.

Waveband from Bern, featuring Stephan Eicher and Claudine Chirac, both from Grauzone. Stephan composed the two tracks "Is this love" and "Tanger" on the first LP and left soon after the release, as well as Claudine did. Claudine startet a short solo-career afterwards, releasing a now rare single (Nautilus), the track is also featured on the Second Swiss-Wave Compilation. Starter kept on releasing records as a duo until the end of the eighties on different labels.
